Willing To Forgive Lyrics

The act of saying sorry can be the start of the healing process. But to complete the process, one must also learn to forgive. Letting go of anger and resentment provides an opportunity for festering negative emotions to dissolve.

We are often too hard on ourselves, especially when decisions we make turn out to be big mistakes. This song is a reminder that it is only after we learn to forgive ourselves that we become capable of forgiving others.

But the unlimited love of God will not stop pursuing us no matter how far we might flee from him. There is no darkness that his light cannot dispel. There is no cruelty that his gentleness cannot transform. There is no addiction that his power cannot tame. There is no lust that his faithfulness cannot purify. There is no greed that his generosity cannot quell. The death of Jesus has paid the penalty for the totality of our sin, and he freely offers forgiveness to all who put their trust in him.

Are you ready to receive his grace into your life and let him take that mountain of sin that is crushing your hope and joy? Tell Him. Pour out your heart to him, and receive his forgiveness for your life. You might say something like this:

Most people, when attempting to forgive either others or themselves, make the mistake of thinking that forgiveness = total absolution, or an erasing of the wrongdoing. This is ultimately futile because it ignores hurt feelings, which inevitably bubble back up later if they are not addressed.

In the modern era, it remains a highly effective mediation practice for forgiveness, both in helping people navigate hurt feelings and feelings of resentment towards others. But it can also be abstractly applied to healing the self.

The girl in the song - I suppose that's Taylor - has been cheated by the one she loves. She screams "Leave!" and she slams the door, but deep inside she's hoping he'll throw pebbles to her window pane screaming "I'm in love with you" under the pouring rain, even if she won't admit it.The song is about the conflicting feelings of being mad at someone but, at the same time, needing them desperately and willing to forgive everything, because, after everything, love is stronger than anything else.

In my opinion, this is not about realizing that love is everlasting, but it's more about sacrifices. She's willing to lose him, because she can tell that if she shows him that he has to work for her, their relationship will be stronger. She feels like she isn't being treated right.

Dear God, the world seems so dark and foreboding. Where are the signs of hope? What are you calling us to do? Wars, uprisings, displacements, hunger, poverty, and disease continue to claim victims by the millions around the world each year. Our ears do not want to hear their stories and our eyes do not want to see their plight because the suffering and destruction is so massive and cruel. In our hearts and minds there is a desire to help somehow, but the crisis seem so overwhelming that we shake our heads in dismay and we wonder what the point is for us even to attempt to be witnesses for healing and hope in this hellish morass. We beg with the song writer to open our eyes that we may see glimpses of truth you have for us. Help us to follow the path of Jesus, the Suffering Servant. Give us the courage to be willing to walk the path of depression and pain with the victims of injustice here at home as well as abroad. Help us to seek ways to light candles of hope, however small, through our words, our deeds, and our prayers, to encourage our sisters and brothers to hold onto the faith in spite of the pain and suffering they are facing. And help those of us who are among the fortunate ones, who have enough bread to eat, good health, and who live in relative peace, to open our heart to learn from our sisters and brothers who are living lives of grace and forgiveness in the horrid circumstances which surround them. O God, help us to light one candle rather than to curse the darkness. We pray this in the name of Jesus, who knows what being a light in this dark world is all about.

Peace and Universal Love is the essence of the Gospel preached by all the Enlightened Ones. The Lord has preached that equanimity is the Dharma. Forgive do I creatures all, and let all creatures forgive me. Unto all have I amity, and unto none enmity. Know that violence is the root cause of all miseries in the world. Violence, in fact, is the knot of bondage. "Do not injure any living being." This is the eternal, perennial, and unalterable way of spiritual life. A weapon howsoever powerful it may be, can always be superseded by a superior one; but no weapon can, however, be superior to non-violence and love.

Our Father, Who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Lord Jesus, I come before Thee, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me. In Thy Name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me. I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works. I give Thee my entire self, Lord Jesus, I accept Thee as my Lord God and Savior. Heal me, change me, strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.

Beloved Padre Pio, Saint of Pietrelcina, today I come to add my prayer to the thousands of prayers offered to you everyday by those who love and venerate you. They ask for cures and healings, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body and mind. Because of your friendship with the Lord, He heals those you ask to be healed, and forgives those you forgive. Through your visible wounds of the Cross, which you bore for 50 years, you were chosen in our time to glorify the crucified Jesus. Because the Cross has been replaced by other symbols, please help us to bring it back in our midst, for we acknowledge it is the only true sign of salvation. As we lovingly recall the wounds that pierced your hands, feet and side, we not only remember the blood you shed in pain, but your smile and the invisible halo of sweet smelling flowers that surrounded your presence, the perfume of sanctity.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

In verses 15-17 Jesus Christ described a method for seeking reconciliation with a spiritual brother who has sinned against us. The implication is that as often as possible, after appropriate signs of a repentant mind, the sinning brother should be forgiven and the relationship rebuilt.

God our Father, we pray for those who have died. Especially to those not remembered, and those who were killed or died unjustly. Bestow upon them your justice, O Lord. We beg you, forgive all their sins due to human weakness. Finally, grant them, Lord, eternal peace in your presence. We ask this through Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Almighty Father, today we pray reconciliation and forgiveness of sins. We know that we hurt and offend you whenever we offend and hurt others. As we gather today as you children, help us with our weaknesses and restore us in your love. Help us to reconcile with one another. We know that you are always there waiting for us to come home. Grant us humility to recognize our shortcomings. Make us worthy of the feast you have prepared for each one of us in your Church today. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty God, I give you thanks today for the lives of my family members who are no longer living. Thank you for the example they provided, the lessons they taught, the love and wisdom they shared. Thank you for all the good that they accomplished, and forgive them for their shortcomings.

Lord Jesus, you rebuked the religious leaders of your time for their hypocrisy and their distorting the commandments. Touch the hearts of the religious leaders of today, that they may be faithful to your teachings of love, compassion, justice, and forgiveness. Touch my heart, too; help me to reflect your example in what I say and do this day.

Lord, thank you for the countless ways you touch our lives. Thank you for the unexpected gifts that I receive from those around me, whether it be a simple gesture of kindness or the willingness of a friend to offer a listening and compassionate ear. Help me to be your instrument to offer an act of kindness or generosity to those I encounter this day.

Oh, generous God, You have made us out of love and given us a free will to love you in return. Give me the grace today as Your loving son to be loving with my whole heart, by forgiving others as You have forgiven me. I only ask to be able to behave as Your true creation. Give me the strength of character to act accordingly in my everyday interactions with respect, compassion, forgiveness, and mercy as Your faithful follower. And to forgive others as You have forgiven me, and show the mercy You have shown to me. I need to think twice before responding to others without thinking. I want to act and be Your messenger in a world that can be harsh hearted. I ask this of you and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 041b061a72
